. . . start this business? Well, I have an innate desire to be creative, and it definitely runs in my family. From my dad, who was a commercial artist, to my oldest granddaughter, who is a graphic designer, almost everyone in my family is creative in some way.
. . . when I'm not creating jewelry and ornaments? I enjoy spending time with my family; I also enjoy coloring and crocheting, and reading historical fiction and biographies. And, I'm a designer by nature. Whether it's indoor spaces, outdoor spaces, jewelry or whatever, I love the process of designing.
. . . for designing jewelry and ornaments begins with choosing the color and size of the beads; using colors that blend well together and using varying bead sizes is essential to creating an interesting pattern. Creating the pattern is the most difficult part of the process, because if the pattern doesn't work then my choice of beads and colors won't matter. And, I choose metal components that will enhance the visual appeal of the piece.
. . . is that artistic creations should be beautiful (in the eye of the beholder, of course), and that they should be inspirational.
